Learning a new language doesn’t happen only in class. Practising it at home, in group or through volunteer work truly helps.

Practising Dutch in a group

Talk to others and learn from each other. Practise Dutch during activities such as conversation tables, Taalpraktijk (practice sessions at B1 level) or SamenLezen (reading group).

Do you want to practise Dutch at home? That is possible by watching series in Dutch, reading the newspaper or practising via apps. Check out all our tips.

Practising Dutch through an internship or volunteer work

Are you enrolled in the civic integration programme? You can practise Dutch during an internship or volunteer work. This is called the participation programme.

We will first listen to what you are interested in. What are your hobbies? Do you enjoy practising sports or do you like culture? Do you like working with other people? We will look for a fun activity together.
