In this privacy statement, we explain how Amal processes the data we collect when you use our website.
Like most organisations, Amal stores data on individuals with whom our organisation has contact. This includes, for example, course participants, participants in activities, our newsletter subscribers and our suppliers.
Your personal data will be processed by Amal for one or more of the following purposes:
- Customer administration and customer and partner services.
- Participation in activities we organise.
- Provide training.
- Mailing information about our activities, newsletters and invitations.
- Recruitment, volunteering and human resources policies.
- Participation in customer surveys in order to improve our services.

What personal data does Amal collect?
For the above purposes, we may request and/or process the following personal data from you:

- Personal financial details which can impact your payments.
- Subject to consent: audiovisual material we have created or collected, e.g. photos of activities you participated in.

Who has access to my personal data?
Amal collects your data. This does not mean that any employee can access them. Your personal data are only accessible to the departments and employees who need it for work purposes.
Does Amal share my data with third parties?
We cooperate with suppliers. Those companies and organisations may process data on our behalf. They are then called 'processors'. We make strict agreements with all these processors to guarantee the security of your personal data.
We will never simply forward or disclose your personal data to others. We will only do so if you give us your prior consent or if the law requires us to. We then have an explicit legal basis.

How long does Amal store my personal data?
Amal stores your data for the time necessary to provide you with our services.
Data security

- All employees of Amal vzw are bound by confidentiality.
- Our employees have been informed and given clear guidelines.
- We take technical measures such as a username and password on all our systems, encryption, installation of a firewall and virus scanner.
- We systematically create backups of personal data to restore it in case of incidents.
- We regularly test and evaluate our measures and adjust where necessary.
